Who are we?

Clear Gravy Productions is a professional studio, not a hobby studio. We're staffed 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We seek to put the music back in the hands of the artist and are skilled at interpreting the needs of the individual artist when it comes to the vision of his own work. We're "Old School" when it comes to our work. If you get it right from the start, then you don't have to waste time "fixing it in the mix" later. A combined 60 plus years of recording, mixing and production experience means we're efficient, knowledgeable, creative and understanding of YOUR work as much as we are of our own. Our passion is recording sound.

What do we do?

DON’T BE FOOLED! We’re not just a blues or jazz studio. While we have a GREAT room for acoustic work, it’s also fantastic for anything else you might think of! We do Punk, Rock, Alternative, Pop, Metal, Thrash, Country, Classic, Jazz, Blues, Rap, Hip-Hop, Christian, Contemporary, Acoustic, Bluegrass, Death Metal, Folk, Funk, SKA, Grunge, Reggae, Rockabilly, Southern Rock, Emo, Progressive, etc. If you can play it, sing it, or otherwise make the sound, we can record it faithfully and get your project sounding GREAT!

Quality Acoustic Reproduction.	We understand acoustic instruments. We thrive in getting an accurate and full acoustic sound. The studio has been designed to provide pleasant acoustic flavor, (some call it a studio signature,) without the use of effects units or artificial emulation. We've also considered your needs when it comes to electronic and amplified instruments to enhance natural acoustic reproduction.
There's plenty of room in the studio for the whole band, and we have lots of experience developing a great, balanced sound. We're well versed in getting you exactly the guitar, bass, drum, vocal sounds, (even bagpipes,) that you just can't get from a "do-it-yourself" setup. (A well stocked mic cab and a wide selection of preamplifiers doesn't hurt!) Whether you want to record a "live" demo, or create an individually tracked composition, we have what you need to sound your best.	We Know Amplified Music Too.
If you’re wondering where our “credits” are, don’t waste your time! YOU are our credits. We feel it would be completely unfair to take credit for any award won by our clients. We’re only helping you create your vision and in the end, it’s only noticed because of the work YOU do! We don’t build the house, we only paint the outside to make it pretty!	We don't waste time here! We know our space, our mics and our equipment. We'll work with you start to finish to get the sound you want at a price you can afford! One hour of setup time is ALWAYS free!
